On Saturday , Nov 8th from 10 am to 2pm
more than 30 volunteers from the National Alliance of Dedicated Patriots , were honored to spend a few hours on a cold Saturday afternoon with more than 90 Veterans at the Tilton Soldiers Home
Tons of pizza & soda was served, mainly by our youngest volunteers.
Children from 2 years old to teenagers participated in our Pizza & Football party.
A big hit for many was an active game of battle ball or monkey in the middle with the Vets in a circle tossing a large rubber ball back and forth , with some gutsy kids in the middle
T - shirts, jackets, hats, board games & trinkets were handed out to all of the Vets; these donations were a huge hit.
Sitting at a table watching a competitive scrabble match between two WWII Vets and two 8 years olds - PRICELESS !
Tilton is the home of the Soldiers' Home, which was established in 1890 for the Civil War Veterans
